I did it to show my kids that it’s never too late to grow, to learn, and to change the trajectory of your life. I understand the power of education because I’ve lived it.But what the Republican Party is doing to our country sickens me. They're attacking public education, stripping away healthcare, and pushing policies that only serve the ultra-wealthy. Basic rights like the right to exist, to have access healthcare, to get an education, and to live freely, shouldn't be reserved for those at the top.We need representatives who’ve lived the reality of everyday people. I know what it’s like to face layoffs, to be uninsured, to be diagnosed with cancer while your wife is pregnant, and to feel the weight of the world on your chest while you simply try to exist. I carry those experiences with me every day and they fuel my fight.This isn’t just about politics, it’s about people. And it’s time we had leaders willing to take punches and throw them back when it counts.

Our tax code is broken and not by accident, but by design. While working families struggle to keep up with the cost of living, billionaires and giant corporations use loopholes and accounting tricks to avoid paying their fair share. Some of the most profitable companies in the world have paid nothing in federal taxes. Meanwhile, everyday Americans are expected to foot the bill.That’s backwards.We need tax reform that puts working people first. That starts with closing the loopholes that allow billionaires to dodge taxes entirely. It means ending special breaks for private jets and offshore accounts. And at an absolute minimum, corporations making billions in profit should be taxed at the same rate as the people driving delivery trucks, teaching our kids, or working double shifts to make ends meet.We should reward work — not wealth hoarding.Let’s make the tax code fair, transparent, and built for the many, not the few.

Fixing Congress Starts with ReformAmericans are losing faith in Congress — and for good reason. When corporate money floods our elections, when gridlock stalls progress, and when too many in power serve their party over their people, the system is broken. It’s time for real congressional reform.We need to strengthen ethics rules, enforce term limits, end insider trading, and eliminate dark money from our politics. Transparency should be the standard, not the exception. Public service should mean service to the public — not personal gain.I pledge to never purchase a single stock while in office and will only serve five terms if elected. Public office shouldn't be a life long career.This isn’t about partisanship; it’s about restoring trust. It’s about making Congress work again — for everyone. Real reform is how we return power to the people and get back to the business of solving problems, not just scoring political points.

Investing in Public Education Is Investing in Our FutureEvery child in America deserves a high-quality public education — no matter their zip code, family income, or background. But for too long, our public schools have been underfunded, undervalued, and targeted by politicians pushing private interests. That needs to change — now.Congress must commit to fully funding public schools, raising teacher pay, and expanding access to early childhood education. We need to modernize classrooms, support students with disabilities, and close the opportunity gap that holds too many kids back.Let’s be clear: voucher programs are a scam. They siphon public dollars away from public schools and funnel them into private and often unaccountable institutions — leaving the most vulnerable students behind. Public money belongs in public schools.Reforming the Department of Education isn’t off the table — like any agency, it can and should evolve to better serve students and educators. But we must also protect it. The Department plays a critical role in advancing equity, enforcing civil rights in schools, and supporting millions of students across the country. Dismantling it would be a disaster.Great schools build strong communities, a competitive workforce, and a more equitable future. It's time we stop treating education like a cost — and start treating it like the foundation of our democracy.

Congress has the power to act, and it’s time we did.We need bold, federal action to increase affordable housing supply, cut unnecessary regulations that drive up building costs, and invest in sustainable development. We must expand access to first-time homebuyer assistance, strengthen tenant protections, and support local governments in building the homes their communities need.Housing affordability shouldn’t depend on your zip code — it should be a promise this country keeps. With smart policy, serious investment, and the political will to act, we can make housing affordable for all Americans.

If we don’t act now, it may be too late to reverse the damage. I believe in investing in clean, renewable energy, creating good-paying union jobs in a green economy, and holding the worst polluters accountable. This is a fight for our health, our economy, and our children’s future.The science is clear. The time for bold, immediate action is now.

Protecting Democracy Means Showing Up and Speaking OutOur democracy is under attack—not just from bad policy, but from an intentional effort to dismantle the institutions that serve the people. Those who acted illegally must be held accountable. Justice demands it—and so does the stability of our democracy.But this fight isn’t just in the courts or on the House floor. It’s in our communities. We must go to rural towns and red districts, speak plainly with our neighbors, and explain what’s at stake—what these agencies do, how their work supports farmers, veterans, students, and families. We need to support Democrats in purple districts and inspire new voices to rise up in places we haven’t always reached.This is how we win. This is how we rebuild. And this is how we ensure that no administration can ever again treat our democracy like a plaything.
